Avatar Korra Episode 9 - Out of the Past

Hellooooooo again guys, this time I'm giving you a great news!!
The Avatar Korra episode 9 is out!!

This time, Tarlokk that has been successfully kidnapping Korra, hid her in the box in the middle of a snow forest. Meanwhile he returned to Republic city and told the police that Korra was kidnapped by Equalists (such a liar, eh?) . Beifong, Tenzin, and Team Avatar tried to resque her.

Korra (that trapped inside a metal box) meditated to see Aang's past to find out what's really going on.. But when she found out, everything was a little bit too late. Amon was there, and he had a fought with Tarlokk. but with a (unique) ability of Amon, Tarlokk lost the match and get straightly into Korra (Who still trapped inside the metal box). What about Korra? can she escape from Amon?

Avatar : The Legend of Korra

Yes, It's been a while since my absent in this blog. And I know that Avatar Korra has been released in Nickelodeon every saturday *get showered*

The story is about the journey of the young Avatar Girl named Korra who continued her journey to mastering the Air element in the city named Republic City.. This city is a capital city (in the world of Avatar cartoon) which was built by our beloved boy, Aang. Korra's airbender teacher is Tenzin, the youngest son of Aang and Katara..

But when she comes to the city, there is a conflict between Benders and non-benders. Amon , the leader of a rebellion called "Equalists", tried to gather more followers (or Equalists to be exact) and start a war against benders. Their weapon against benders are Chi-Blockers, ropes, and the thing Tay Lee does in the Avatar Aang (I forgot what was that). 

Well, with the help from Tenzin, Former Chief-Beifong, and The New Team Avatar (Bolin-earth, Mako-Earth, and Asami-non bender) they tried to stop Amon and keep the balance to the world...

hi guys, now let's talk about a request from my friend, Windy Sukarto (again. well, she's kinda fans of japanese movie) titled

Just like the title, this movie is more like 3 short movie that connected each other. this movie tells us about the love stories between Takaki Tono, and Akari Shinohara (but my opinion, this movie is more tells about Takaki as well). Here's the plot (Found 'em in Wikipedia, edited by myself)

DESCRIPTION:

The plot is set in Japan beginning from the 1990s and ending in modern day, with each segment centered on a boy named Takaki Tōno. It is important to note that the first episode takes place during a time period when cell phones are uncommon and email has not yet reached the general populace.

Episode 1: Extract of the Cherry Blossom

Takaki Tōno became quickly befriends of Akari Shinohara when she transfers to his elementary school. They grow closer to each other due to similar interests and attitudes; for instance, they both prefer to stay inside during recess due to their seasonal allergies. As a result, they form a strong bond; they speak to each other using their given names without any form of honorifics, which is very unusual in Japan, even among people who are romantically involved. This fact is lost in the movie's translation to English and other languages, which reduces the implied closeness of their relationship.
Upon graduating from elementary school, Akari moves to Tochigi, due to her parents' jobs. The two keep in contact by writing letters, but eventually begin to drift apart. When Takaki learns that his family will be moving to Kagoshima, he decides to personally go see Akari, since they will be too far apart to visit each other at all after moving. He also prepares a letter for Akari, containing his feelings.

Spoiler/my note : The ending part (about min 18-25) is the most touching part, where Takaki's train has a problem with snow and the delay of the express train (which makes his train stopped in every station in 10 minutes) and even got belayed for 2 hours, makes Takaki arrived in 23.15 (11.15 PM) when he knew their promise are in 19.00 (07.00 PM)....at the end, Takaki regrets the loss of his letter, when Akari silently read her letter adressed to Takaki....

Episode 2: Cosmonaut

Takaki is now in the third year of senior high in Tanegashima, where the Tanegashima Space Center is located. Kanae Sumida, a classmate of Takaki, had fallen in love with him ever since meeting him in middle school, but does not have the courage to confess her feelings. She tries to spend time with him, waiting long after school for the chance to travel home together. However, Takaki appears ignorant to Kanae's feelings and treats her as a good friend. Kanae observes that Takaki is always writing emails to someone, or staring off into the distance as if searching for something far, far away. It is later shown that Takaki's emails are not being sent to anyone, and he has had recurring dreams which feature Akari. Despite Kanae's feelings, she eventually realizes that Takaki is looking at something far beyond what she can offer and decides against telling him how she feels.

My Note : Takaki show us about the true meaning of love. Even by the distance, Takaki still looking and wishing for Akari, even if Kanae, his classmate, had fell in love with him.

Episode 3: 5 Centimeters Per Second

It is 2008, where Takaki is now a computer programmer in Tokyo, and Akari is preparing to get married to someone. Kanae is not strongly depicted in this segment. Takaki is still longing for Akari to the detriment of his lifestyle, which is acknowledged by an ex-girlfriend. This leads to Takaki on the verge of a breakdown and leaving his job. Akari goes through her old possessions and finds the letter addressed to Takaki. Takaki and Akari have a dual narration, both recalling a recent dream depicting the events of their last meeting in the snow, and hoping to watch the cherry blossoms together again.
One day while walking down a road, Takaki and Akari appear to pass and recognize each other at a train crossing. At opposite sides of the tracks, they both stop and begin to look back, but the passing trains cut off their view. Takaki waits for the trains to pass, but sees that the woman is gone. After a moment, he smiles to himself and continues walking.

Conclusion of part 3 by me : this is the amazing part, where Takaki and Akari, which has separated so far by the distance and had their own life, passed each other at a train crossing.... the moment was so touching with a dramatic music and flashback memories, ended with the smile of Takaki...

Korra adalah Avatar setelah Avatar Aang, dengan kata lain, dia adalah reinkarnasi dari Avatar Aang. Korra berasal dari Suku Air Selatan, otomatis elemen asli Korra adalah air. Dia digambarkan sebagai “seorang gadis remaja yang bergairah, pemberontak, dan tak kenal takut”. Dia adalah pribadi yang keras kepala, mandiri, dan “siap untuk memimpin dunia”.

Latar waktu Avatar: The Legend of Korra diambil 70 tahun setelah Avatar: The Legend of Aang. Salah satu latar ceritanya adalah di Republic City, sebuah kota metropolis yang didukung oleh teknologi kuno (sejenis teknologi uap) dan dihuni oleh semua bangsa di dunia avatar. Korra, yang telah menguasai tiga dari empat elemen – air, tanah, api – melakukan perjalanan ke kota ini untuk mencari guru pengendali udara. Dan di bawah ajaran Tenzin – putra dari Avatar Aang dan Katara – Korra belajar pengendalian udara. Namun, Korra juga harus berurusan dengan adanya kejahatan yang merajalela dan pemberontakan anti-pengendalian yang berkembang di kota itu.

Michael DiMartino dan Bryan Konietzko, pencipta Avatar: The Legend of Aang yang juga sekaligus pencipta Avatar: The Legend of Korra mengatakan, seri avatar yang baru ini akan mengangkat tema-tema yang lebih dewasa dari seri avatar sebelumnya, namun tetap akan ada sisi humor dan petualangannya.
Rumor

1. Aang akan muncul di seri ini sebagai pembimbing Korra, seperti yang dilakukan Roku ke Aang.
2. Sumber dari beberapa tweet mengatakan akan ada karakter bernama Meelo dan Wei Bei.
3. Terdapat rumor bahwa akan ada “flashback” yang berkaitan dengan seri avatar sebelumnya.
4. Menurut ramalan Bibi Wu (episode “Fortuneteller”), Katara akan meninggal dalam tidurnya setelah kelahiran cicit ketiganya. Semenjak Tenzin adalah putranya, dimungkinkan Katara masih hidup di seri Avatar: The Legend of Korra.
5. Zuko dimungkinkan masih hidup dan masih memimpin Negara Api di seri Avatar: The Legend of Korra. Dia akan berumur 86 tahun, telah menikah dengan Mai dan telah memiliki anak dari pernikahan mereka.
